Legodelphia: Center City

A considerable progress shot of Legodelphia, namely the section covering Center City. I don't have a piece count on what's finished thus far but even a count from the digital model wouldn't be completely accurate as some pieces are swapped out during the building process, either due to availability or a change of design along the way. What's shown here is roughly 1/6 of the total blocks that will be included in the final version. It's also worth noting that the blocks, as currently placed, rest up against each other, whereas in the final model, blocks are spaced by a unit representing main roads - two units for Broad Street since it's a two lane street.

The finished Legodelphia model with have removable blocks for a better look at the details for each, as well as a sectional base split into 4 parts for easy transport. Each section will have spaces for the appropriate blocks and be built up a few plates high for durability, as well as to allow for recessed features. The span of the city for the final model will cover from the Delaware to the Schuylkill River in the east-west direction and from just below I-676 to one block south of Rittenhouse Square in the north-south direction.
