The foam core base is 13 layers thick (approximately 3 1/2 inches) at the bottom so I just made sure it lay flat so it would stand up straight on its own.

don't actually have it in my possession any more. Basically, it's made of a few layers of foam core cut to the shape of the tank, so each layer of foam has different pieces of the tank. It's not one large bead sprite, it's made of many smaller ones. Take a look at the Gutsdozer piece I did awhile back to see the angle on it. It's not as many layers as the tank, but it's the same idea. [link]

Probably not. I stopped doing bead sprites for awhile and just recently started again but only smaller custom ones.
